We want to alert you to reports of fraudulent phone calls from individuals falsely claiming to represent Nacha, the organization that administers the ACH Network. These scammers are targeting organizations that originate ACH payments, stating they need to review your current ACH files and may offer to send you a website link to collect information.
Please remember:
- Nacha will never contact you directly to ask to review ACH files in this manner.
- In addition, Savings Bank of Walpole will never ask you for sensitive information via text, email, or phone. This includes online and mobile banking user names, passwords, account numbers or PINs, debit card numbers, and verification codes that may have been texted, emailed or called in to you. You should never give these out to anyone.
Remember: Think before you click. Scammers rely on emotions like fear or urgency to trick you into reacting. Take a moment to stop, verify, and confirm.
If you receive a suspicious email, phone call or message, don’t comply with the request. Instead, contact SBW directly at the public number listed on our website: (603) 352-1822. If you believe you’ve shared personal information with a scammer, let us know immediately so we can help secure your accounts.
Together, we can outsmart fraud and stay secure. Stay alert, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support.
If you have any questions or would like assistance with ACH services, please contact either of us.
Thank you for choosing to bank local with Savings Bank of Walpole!
Sincerely,
