Customers Help Raise $4,620 For Cheshire County Conservation District
Savings Bank of Walpole recently presented a $4,620.00 donation to the Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD) following a successful Earth Day campaign encouraging customers to enroll in eStatements.
The Bank pledged to donate $5 for every customer who switched to eStatements between Earth Day (April 22) and June 30, 2026. Thanks to the enthusiastic response from customers, a total of $4,620 was raised to support CCCD’s mission of conserving and responsibly managing the natural and agricultural resources of Cheshire County.
“One of the things that makes our communities special is the care people have for the places we call home,” said Mark Bodin, President of Savings Bank of Walpole. “More than 900 customers jumped on this opportunity to reduce paper while supporting a local organization doing important conservation work. We’re grateful for their participation and proud to present this donation to the Cheshire County Conservation District.”
The Cheshire County Conservation District works with landowners, municipalities, educators, and community partners to protect soil, water, forests, farmland, and other natural resources throughout the region.
The eStatements campaign also highlighted the many benefits of paperless banking, including faster access to statements, enhanced security, reduced paper consumption, and convenient online access to account history.
