City of Keene Proclaims July 2, 2025, “Savings Bank of Walpole Day”

Savings Bank of Walpole was honored by the City of Keene with a formal proclamation announcing July 2, 2025 as “Savings Bank of Walpole Day” in recognition of the Bank’s 150 years of community service and commitment. The proclamation was presented during a special ceremony held on July 2 in front of City Hall, where Keene Mayor Jay Kahn presented a proclamation to Mark Bodin, President of Savings Bank of Walpole.

Founded in 1875, Savings Bank of Walpole has remained a true community bank for 150 years. In addition to providing trusted financial services for generations of individuals, families, and businesses, the Bank supports numerous local nonprofits and sponsors community events throughout the Monadnock Region.

“We are incredibly honored to receive this proclamation from the City of Keene as we mark our 150th anniversary and 150 years of serving our community,” said Mark Bodin, President of Savings Bank of Walpole.

“Being recognized on our 150th birthday, July 2, 2025, through this proclamation is a meaningful tribute not just to our history, but to the strong relationships we’ve built with the people and communities we serve. It was a pleasant surprise to have such a well-respected group show up in support of the day. We are proud to be the Monadnock Region’s local bank, one that’s built on trust, relationships, and a deep commitment to giving back. This milestone isn’t just about our longevity, it’s a celebration of the people, businesses, and organizations that make the Monadnock Region such a vibrant place to live and work.”
