Lead Sponsor of the 2026 Clarence DeMar Marathon
Savings Bank of Walpole (SBW) is once again proud to support one of the Monadnock Region’s most celebrated traditions, the Clarence DeMar Marathon, taking place Sunday, September 27, 2026. For the eighth year, SBW is a DeMar Level Sponsor, the highest level of support.
This marks the race’s 48th year bringing runners, volunteers, families and spectators together for a full weekend of events that culminate in the full marathon, half marathon, Super Seniors run and Kids DeMar on Sunday.
“The Clarence DeMar Marathon is more than a race,” said Mark Bodin, President of Savings Bank of Walpole, “it’s a great example of what makes this community special. From participants to supporters, so many people come together to make the event a success. We’re proud to support it again this year and to help celebrate the spirit of community it represents.”
Organized by the Keene Elm City Rotary Club, the marathon also helps support Rotary programs that make a difference throughout the region, including youth and community service initiatives locally and beyond.
SBW employees will add to the Bank’s support on race day by volunteering, participating and cheering on runners as they make their way through Keene.
“Whether you’re running, volunteering, or coming out to cheer, DeMar is one of those events that brings people together,” Bodin added. “We encourage everyone to come out on September 27 and be part of it.”
The Clarence DeMar Marathon is supported by hundreds of volunteers each year, helping give runners the welcoming, community-centered experience for which the event is known.
