Since purchasing The Shattuck Golf Club in 2019, Keene State College graduate and lifelong golfer Doni Ash has updated the iconic golf course where Mt. Monadnock serves as a stunning backdrop— and has transformed the clubhouse into an impressive taproom and restaurant.
To secure financing, Doni worked with Savings Bank of Walpole’s Steve Bianco. “I love that SBW is out in the community and supports local businesses—that’s super important to me,” says Doni. These days, Doni is often in touch with SBW senior commercial lender Ben Wheeler—who’s also a member at The Shattuck. “It’s nice to know if we ever need equipment or a new roof, Ben and Savings Bank of Walpole are there for us.”
