“It’s good to bank with people who really care.”
-Rob Therrien, Swanzey
Rob Therrien has lived in the Monadnock Region his entire life. He and his wife Leanne raised their family in Swanzey, and today their children, spouses, and grandchildren all still call the area home. Community isn’t an abstract idea for Rob. It’s personal.
“That’s what’s always a pleasure with Savings Bank of Walpole,” Rob says. “They’re invested in our community, and they make a difference. Around here, people volunteer and help out. You serve on nonprofit committees, you go to events and you always see Savings Bank of Walpole,” he says. “Mark Bodin, Christine Greenwood-Smart, Dani Ruffo, Dominic Perkins, and others. Savings Bank of Walpole’s volunteerism, from leaders to tellers, is pretty amazing.”
A bank that knows you.
For Rob, SBW has never felt like a place where you’re just another account.
“They know me,” he says. “I can walk in, go right up to the tellers, and they recognize me. You’re not just a number. You’re somebody. You’re welcomed the minute you walk in, and that matters.”
That kind of personal connection is what Rob believes good banking should feel like. Friendly. Familiar. Consistent over time.
SBW is here for good.
As a mutual bank owned by its depositors, not shareholders, Savings Bank of Walpole makes decisions locally and keeps its focus where it belongs: on people and community.
For Rob, that’s what sets SBW apart.
“It feels good to bank with people who really care,” he says.
