Savings Bank Of Walpole Announces Retirement Of Susan Howard From The Board Of Directors

Keene, NH –  Savings Bank of Walpole (SBW) has announced the retirement of Susan Howard of Walpole, NH from its Board of Directors effective March 31, 2022. Howard also served on the Board of SBW’s sister company, NHTrust for the past year.

Howard joined the SBW Board in 2018 after serving as a Corporator of the bank since 1997.  SBW announced that Howard will continue to serve as a valued Corporator of the bank’s mutual holding company, New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp where she will play a leading role in ensuring this important group is well connected to the work of the bank.

“Susan has made a real contribution to SBW in a relatively short amount of time on the Board” said Mark Bodin, President of SBW. “Susan has helped lead SBW through the pandemic and the bank grew more than 50% during her Board tenure. Susan’s curiosity, passion for her hometown and commitment to our staff has made us a better bank, employer and community member” adds Bodin.

Howard joined the SBW Board after a long career in higher education, most recently serving as Director of Financial Aid for Antioch University. Her commitment to the development of young people was a central theme throughout her career which also included many years at Dartmouth College and Franklin Pierce University.
